How to play Roblox on Linux (it's back!)
By Jabin / 10-18-2023 / Tutorials
Roblox doesn't have an official Linux client, which means that without the help of software to run Windows apps on Linux (like WINE), Roblox isn't playable on Linux. In the past it has been possible to play Roblox on Linux thanks to WINE, but when Roblox added their anticheat, WINE stopped working with Roblox. However, it has recently been fixed and Roblox is playable on Linux again.
In this guide you'll learn how to install Roblox on Linux easily, through a helpful app with a graphical installer for both Roblox and Roblox Studio.
It will install WINE for you. If there are any popups from WINE, just simply click on "next" or "install".
If you have 2-step verification enabled on your Roblox account and when logging in, the 2-step verification page doesn't load, you need to log in to Roblox's website in your browser and then use the quick login feature located in the menu in the top right corner of the website.
You can use either the Roblox website or the Roblox app to launch games, it's up to you. When launching from the website, make sure it's set to open with Grapejuice, Roblox-player or System Handler, depending on your Linux installation.
Enjoy your Roblox installation!
